What time should we arrive?
Guests may begin loading the tram at 3:15 PM, and we kindly ask that everyone arrive promptly at the parking lot by this time. This will allow plenty of time to ride the tram, get seated, and begin our ceremony right at 4 o'clock. Starting on time helps us make the most of daylight and capture the beautiful South Lake Tahoe sunset.
Is there anything guests should know about getting to the venue?
Yes! Our venue is located on a mountain and getting there is part of the adventure. Guests will park in the designated lot and take an aerial tram up the mountain. From the tram drop-off, you'll either walk a short distance or take a shuttle to the lodge.
Because of the terrain, there are uneven paths and stairs involved. Unfortunately, guests who are unable to use stairs or who have significant mobility limitations will not be able to access the ceremony site itself. However, the ceremony will be viewable from the reception building, where seating and accommodations will be available.
If you have mobility concerns, please let us know so we can coordinate with our venue. Please know we have planned with comfort and safety in mind and are happy to help however we can.
Will we be stuck on the mountain once we go up?
Not at all! The tram runs continuously back and forth between the parking lot and the venue throughout the event (minus the ceremony), so guests are free to travel up or down as needed.
What part of Tahoe should I stay in?
Lake Tahoe sits on the border of California and Nevada, with the state line running directly through the region. While the entire area is beautiful, staying in the right area will make your trip much easier.
South Lake Tahoe (recommended) is where you’ll want to stay and where all wedding events will take place. It offers the greatest concentration of hotels, restaurants, nightlife, and activities, and makes getting around simple and convenient.
Just across the Nevada Border (still “South”) is the Nevada side, including Stateline and the East Shore. Although technically in Nevada, this area is still considered part of South Lake Tahoe and is just steps or a short drive from California. Staying here is just as convenient for wedding events and is a great option for resorts and casinos.
North Shore is located 45–60 minutes from South Lake Tahoe. While beautiful, it is less convenient for wedding activities. The West Shore is known for its scenic beauty and classic Tahoe charm, but it is about 45–60 minutes from South Lake Tahoe, making it better suited for extended stays rather than wedding weekend logistics.
Is the wedding kid-friendly?
While we love your little ones, due to safety concerns for our venue, our wedding will be an adults-only event. We hope this gives everyone the chance to celebrate with us fully and enjoy a well-deserved night off!
