Getting to South Lake Tahoe
Nearest Airports
Guests flying in have several airport options, depending on travel preferences:
Reno–Tahoe International Airport (RNO) — Approximately 1 hour to South Lake Tahoe. This is the closest and most convenient airport.
Sacramento International Airport (SMF) — Approximately 2 hours to South Lake Tahoe, with a wide range of nonstop flight options.
San Francisco International Airport (SFO) — Approximately 4 hours to South Lake Tahoe; best for international travelers or those planning to extend their trip.
Ground Transportation
We strongly recommend renting a car for travel to and around South Lake Tahoe.
Car Rentals: Available at all major airports

Rideshare: Uber and Lyft operate in the area, but can be limited, especially during peak hours or late evenings.
Taxi: Local taxi services operate in South Lake Tahoe and can be a reliable option, particularly when rideshare availability is limited. Taxis can typically be booked by phone or through hotel concierge services. We recommend arranging taxis in advance when possible, especially for late-night travel or during busy weekends.
Zalanta Resort
We have a room block at the Zalanta Resort at the Village, located in the heart of South Lake Tahoe across from the Village and Heavenly's year-round gondola.
Zalanta offers complimentary transportation on a first come first serve basis to the ceremony/reception site.
